The game features beautiful cutscenes, as well as partial voice acting. Pokemon and plants are reported to glow, and you’re sent on an ecological survey to figure it all out. However, the good professor has a story to tell, the Lental Region where this game takes place has a mysterious phenomenon called Illumina. There’s a story in New Pokémon Snap sure you want your photos graded by the new Professor Mirror. Seeing Pokémon living their lives, having fun, and just existing is something we’ve not seen since the Nintendo 64 – and it’s what makes the game. There’s no trading or fighting there’s no Pokéballs or captivity. In New Pokemon Snap, the world feels alive with Pokemon in ways other Pokemon games never do. But it’s the Pokemon who make the game what it is. On paper, getting rolled around a course with no control where you go while taking photos of Pokémon might seem a little mundane. Can an on-rails photography game still grip us as it did at the turn of the century? The answer is yes. Twenty-two years later, Pokémon is in another world of popularity. Sequels so far after an original release has a lot to live up to: satisfy the people who were there the first time, the ones who want more of the same, and get newcomers excited as well. The ONLY difference between my Switch and my acquaintances, that I can come up with, is that mine is V1 and theirs V2.When something comes back or gets a sequel after two decades, it rarely works out as well as the first time around. So even though my Switch plays all other game cards with no problems, it simply refuses to load Pokemon Snap, at this time usually hanging forever at a black screen after launching the game, even with this days new update! Their Switch (like the Switch of the previous game owners) played the game just fine with no problems. Update: Thank you to those who bothered to comment! Though of course I don't expect through the short story I wrote, but I HAVE tried all common fixes and beyond.Īs an update, however, I managed to go and try the game card at a acquaintances place. So if someone has any ideas or have heard of similar problems with other games - I'm one big ear, thanks! Really don't have money to spend on games, so I depend on buying them used and selling them onward when I'm through with them, but with a faulty game card as a possibility, I can't do even that. Came home, tried to launch the game, and the problem is back. I only got to play that once, as I had to go away for a couple of weeks. When I once again redownloaded the update, this time on this new router, the game launched like nothing was ever wrong. Yet ONCE, the game launched and worked normally, once I happened to switch to a new network provider and router. I came to the conclusion that the card must be faulty, even though the previous owner reports no problems. Three or four times when deleting everything and redownloading, instead of an error the game just remains on a black screen for as apparently forever, with the Home button still working. I have cleaned the game card and card slot, downloaded on wired and wireless networks, used multiple profiles, docked and undocked. I have tried every possible combination of deleting, downloading, archiving both save data and update data, both on memory cards and without any. I'm on a original up to date Switch, and own a physical game card, bought used. With both options, this same problem loop reoccurs. To do launch the game, one must do the check, at which point the system always returns with a message of "No corrupted data was found." with the option to End or Redownload Data. Please run a check for corrupt data." with the option to check or cancel. When thrown back to the Home screen and attempting to launch the game again, you get the following message: "Corrupted Data has been detected. When attempting to launch New Pokemon Snap, the normal Switch logo appears in the corners as with all games, screen turns black for a second, and then throws up "Error Code: 2002-4153 - The Software was closed because an error occurred." Hello! Can't find anyone talking about having this problem with this game or any other for the matter, so in my desperation I am open to ANY possible hints on the cause:
